Editorial and review policy

This policy explains what JustFileKit publishes, how tools and calculations are checked, and how errors and changing rules are handled.

Policy version: October 2, 2026

Tool publication standard

A tool must complete the task promised on its page and pass relevant automated tests, type checks and a production build. The page must state supported formats, practical limits, processing behavior and settings that materially affect the result. We do not publish non-working features to attract visits.

Financial and policy content

Mortgage, salary and public-policy calculations can affect important decisions. These pages prioritize government, regulator and public-institution sources, state the review date and assumptions, and identify exclusions. Results are estimates, not lending decisions, eligibility findings, tax advice or legal advice.

Testing and comparison

In addition to formula unit tests, important calculators are checked against published examples or independent calculators. When a page mentions a comparison, it states the input assumptions, display precision and reason for any difference rather than presenting one case as a universal guarantee.

Updates, assistance tools and corrections

Editing may use translation, code-analysis or writing-assistance tools, but sources, formulas, limitations and final published claims are checked against page evidence. Review dates are updated when rules or rates change. Reproducible errors are corrected in code or content, with version history preserving the context of material changes.
